We manufacture our entire wooden hanger requirement from our own purpose built factory, we do not rely upon third parties to make our hangers.

We currently have 3 finishes available for both the Ash and the Maple both available in 42cm & 45cm. These quality hangers are sold in packs of 3 all being the same size and finish, to find out more about the finishes please select the 'Finishes' tab.

Good environmental practice has always been a prime consideration in Mainetti's development, leading us to seek practical solutions to limit the production of wooden waste and environmental pollution.

We recycle any wooden waste that is generated in the manufacturing process.

Mainetti also have a commitment to providing the highest standard of working conditions to our staff and therefore the factory has installed a world-class Dust Extraction Unity that causes no dust pollution.

Facts about Ash

For many years Ash wood has been used in the manufacture of furniture, its tighter grain and lack of knots compared to other wood make it an excellent material for wood hangers.

Ash wood is a very prolific indigenous hardwood. It is commercially grown throughout the world it is durable, versatile and very cost effective to use.

Ash is tough yet elastic, it is a great material to use as hangers as the straight grain ages very well and make the hangers even more desirable over time.

Ash is a great wood to work with, it's easy to mould and takes a great stain.

Facts about Maple

Maple is a hard, strong and heavy wood with great texture and straight grained. The resin within the wood offers a silver finish which over time grows deeper.

This is one of our favourite types of wood used for hangers.

Many of the best drum kit in the world use Maple as it's known as a tone wood.

In Japan there is a festival called 'Momijigari' which roughly translated means maple tree hunting where residents visit parks to view the red colours of the maples leafs during autumn. The particularly spectacular autumn colours of the Acer rubrum (Red Maple) are a major contributor to the seasonal landscape in south eastern Canada.

A - Natural Wood:

The beauty of the wood is clear, these hangers are sanded by hand to give a beautifully smooth finish that is completely untreated and free from artificial lacquer or colour stains. This hanger is an expression of natural beauty at is best.

B - Lacquered Wood

To enhance the beauty of the wood and make it a more resilient we have applied a clear lacquer to these hangers. The lacquer once applied to natural wood delicately darkens the grain giving a brilliant contrast of colour, by far the most dramatic and contemporary of our wooden hanger range.

C - Stained Wood

A cherry stained lacquer is applied to give a more traditional appearance to these hangers. A very light application is applied to ensure that the beauty of the wood is not hidden behind the stain.
